You’re Job as a WhatsApp Admin Can Be a Risky Affair …

Starting a whatsApp or a Facebook group is as easy as sending a virtual text but being the Admin of your group can be really risky now. As per a recent joint order issued by the Varanasi District Magistrate, Yogeshwar Ram Mishra and the Senior Superintend of Police, Nitin Tiwari, the Group Admin is all likely to be held responsible by the court of law and can even face prosecution charges for all the fake news, morphed photographs and concocted and disturbing videos that may trigger communal riots, which are posted within the group by group members.
As per the verdict, the group admin should undertake the role of the virtual administrator very seriously and for the breach of the admin duties, he/she is likely to pay a heavy price. The duties of the group admin include:
·         The admin should add only those people who he/she knows personally.
·         If any group member posts any posts any fake news, false messages, promiscuous photographs and unsettling videos, the group admin should immediately remove the member from the group.
 If the group admin fails on his duties, he/ she shall be framed guilty and shall be duly charged under cyber crime law, IT Act and IPC.For all the many number of social-mediagroup admins out there, it is always best to be on your guard with your group members to ensure your safety.
